Organizations
Mandolin Creek Dairy works with several organizations to promote access to raw milk. We encourage all raw milk advocates to consider joining these movements and organizations, as their bulk of their funding comes from individuals.
The information in the following section comes directly from their mission statements and marketing material.
A Campaign for Real Milk
A Campaign for Real Milk promotes to universal access to clean raw whole milk from pasture-fed cows, especially access for pregnant and nursing mothers and for babies and growing children. A Campaign meets this goal first and foremost by providing information on the safety and health benefits of raw milk over pasteurized, and by providing a list of raw milk providers.
Raw Milk Institute
The Raw Milk Institute (RAWMI) is a non-profit international organization to promote and support the safe and hygienic production of raw milk and raw milk products for direct human consumption. RAWMI teaches well-established scientific principles and good manufacturing methods to assist farmers to produce hygienic safe raw milk.
Farm To Consumer Legal Defense Fund
The Farm To Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) protects the rights of the nation’s family farms, artisan food producers, consumers and affiliate communities to engage in direct commerce free of harassment by federal, state and local government interference; it protects the rights of farmers and artisanal producers to make their products available and the rights of consumers to access the foods of their choice from the source of their choice.
Weston A. Price Foundation
The Weston A. Price Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price, whose studies of isolated nonindustrialized peoples established the parameters of human health and determined the optimum characteristics of human diets. Dr. Price’s research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats.
Eugene Chapter
The Eugene Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation was founded in 1999. They offer local events, activities, action alerts, and articles in the Eugene and surrounding area; however, the information and resources that their site provides are useful to anyone living in Oregon who is interested in raw milk.
